Airport View Hotel Entebbe has been welcoming guests since 2006. It is run by Gabas Investments Limited, trading as Airport View Hotel, and stands on Kiwafu Close in a quiet part of Entebbe, about ten minutes' drive from Entebbe International Airport (EBB), overlooking Lake Victoria, the airport, State House and Nsamizi Hill. It was built around a simple idea: most travellers who land in Uganda need somewhere comfortable close to the airport, and plenty of them also need a place to hold a wedding, a meeting or a meal. So the hotel brings accommodation, dining, a garden venue and a conference room together on one compound, with a front desk that never closes.

Where We Are: Entebbe and the Surrounding Area
Entebbe sits on a peninsula that juts into Lake Victoria, about 40 km from Kampala. Before independence it was the seat of the colonial government, and it still has the unhurried, leafy feel of a garden town — a calm contrast to the capital. The airport is Uganda's only international gateway, so the town is where most visitors begin and end their trip. Within easy reach of the hotel:
- Entebbe Botanical Gardens — lakeside gardens laid out in 1898, about ten minutes by car, with monkeys and more than a hundred bird species. See our Botanical Gardens guide.
- Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (Entebbe Zoo) — a sanctuary for rescued and orphaned animals, founded in 1952. See the UWEC guide.
- Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary — about 23 km offshore, reached by boat from Entebbe in roughly 45 minutes. See the Ngamba Island guide.
- Mabamba Swamp — a wetland on Lake Victoria known for shoebill sightings, best visited at dawn by canoe.
- Lake Victoria beaches, Entebbe Golf Club and the craft village — relaxed afternoon options in town; the golf club dates from 1900.
- Kampala — about 40 km away, around 45 minutes by the Entebbe–Kampala Expressway in normal traffic. See getting around Entebbe and Kampala.

Who We Host
The hotel is set up for several kinds of guest, and the layout of the property reflects that:
- Transit and early or late flight passengers — people who arrive late at night or depart at dawn and want a proper bed close to the terminal rather than a long transfer. Our layover guide explains how to use a stopover well.
- Leisure travellers — visitors starting or finishing a safari, gorilla trek or Uganda holiday, who use the hotel as a base for Entebbe's attractions.
- Business and corporate guests — travellers on short visits, and organisations that use the conference room for meetings, seminars, workshops and training sessions. Over the years, corporate guests have included companies in oilfield services, brewing, power generation, logistics and engineering consulting.
- Tour operators and travel agents — special tour operator (STO) rates for 2026–2027, for groups and itineraries that start or end in Entebbe. See the tour operator rates.
- Families and groups — the Family room (two adjoining rooms with a shared bathroom and balcony) and Superior Twin rooms are laid out for people travelling together.
- Wedding and event hosts — couples and families celebrating in the Palm Gardens, with accommodation for the wedding party on the same compound. See our wedding planning guide.
- Local diners and drinkers — the restaurant and bars are open to people who simply want a meal or a drink.
Food, Drink and Events
The restaurant serves local Ugandan, continental and oriental dishes prepared fresh each day, including Lake Victoria Nile perch and tilapia, and breakfast is included in most room rates. There are two bars and a terrace garden with BBQ grills. For events, the Palm Gardens grounds host weddings and celebrations of up to 300 guests, with packages from UGX 2.5 million, and the air-conditioned conference room seats 60 with a projector, screen, PA system, microphones, Wi-Fi and whiteboard. Details are on the restaurant, wedding and conference pages.
