This Privacy Policy explains how Airport View Hotel Entebbe ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our website at airportviewhotel.co.ug (the "Website") or make a booking or enquiry with us. We are located at 34 Kiwafu Close, Entebbe, Uganda.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Booking information — your name, email address, phone number, check-in and check-out dates, number of guests and room preferences when you make a reservation through the Website.
  • Enquiry information — your name, contact details and the contents of your message when you use our contact or event enquiry forms, or contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp.

We also collect certain information automatically when you visit the Website, such as your device type, browser, approximate location and pages visited, through cookies and similar technologies (see section 4).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To process, confirm and manage your room, event or conference bookings;
  • To respond to enquiries and provide customer service;
  • To send booking confirmations and service communications by email;
  • To improve the Website and our services;
  • To comply with legal obligations applicable in Uganda.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

3. Third-Party Services We Use

The Website relies on a small number of trusted third-party services which may process data on our behalf or set cookies in your browser:

  • Google Firebase — securely stores booking and enquiry records submitted through the Website.
  • EmailJS — delivers booking notification emails.
  • PesaPal — processes online payments. Card and payment details are entered on PesaPal's secure platform and are never stored on our Website.
  • Google Maps — provides the embedded location maps.
  • Google AdSense — serves advertisements on some pages (see section 4).
  • Content delivery networks — Google Fonts and Cloudflare CDN deliver fonts and icons.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing its handling of data.

4. Cookies and Advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the Website function and to understand how it is used. In addition:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

We retain booking records for as long as necessary to provide our services, handle any follow-up queries and meet legal, accounting and tax requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The Website is served over HTTPS, and booking data is stored with access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, including the Data Protection and Privacy Act of Uganda, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us at enquiry@airportviewhotel.co.ug and we will respond within a reasonable period.

8. Children's Privacy

The Website is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Bookings must be made by adults.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page with its effective date shown at the top.
